SpaceX will attempt two launches within 48 hours this weekend. One launch from each coast.
Friday's launch will be at 2:10 PM EDT from historic pad LC-39A at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. The launch will put the BulgariaSat 1 satellite into a geosynchronous transfer orbit. The satellite will provide television and data services in Europe. This will be the first geostationary communications satellite owned by a Bulgarian company. The Falcon 9 will use a previously flown booster.
Sunday's launch will be at 1:25 PM PDT from pad SLC-4E at Vandenberg Air Force Base in California. The launch will be the second for the Iridium Next mobile communications satellite fleet. A Falcon 9 rocket will launch 10 more satellites (11 through 20) for the fleet. The first 10 satellites were, coincidently, launched in January on the same booster being re-flown on Friday's BulgariaSat 1 mission!
